The house is located approximately 2 miles from the city centre and the Rawcliffe Bar park and ride is just half a mile away with regular buses to the city centre.
It is also very convenient for the ring road around York which can be accessed by car within 2 minutes
The city can be reached by foot along the A19 and takes about 30 to 40 minutes.
A taxi to the centre will take about 5-10 minutes and cost approximately £7 to £10 depending where you wish to go.
Local taxi firm numbers are in the house along with the various attraction leaflets.
The Tesco Extra is about a 5 to 10 minute walk depending on you pace.
The Lysander Arms is but a short stroll.

Just off the A19 towards Skelton the Riverside Farm pub, restaurant and play barn are worth a visit. The food is fantastic value and quality with friendly helpful staff. This is a very popular venue.
There is a childrens play area within 3 miles which has indoor and outdoor facilities including a small farm area. Creepy Crawlies is a superb facility.
There are also 2 retail outlets on the outskirts of York both within 5 minutes drive and McArthur Glen Designer Outlet which is about 15 minutes drive.
